Common questions
My controller doesn't work
Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch Pro controllers all work, wired or over Bluetooth. Plug one in at any time, even mid-game, and press a button to join. If the game only sees your controller as a generic joystick, it asks you to press each button once to set it up. On a computer, the keyboard always drives player 1.
How do I play with friends on one screen?
Connect up to four controllers. In team select, each person moves their badge left (away), right (home) or leaves it in the middle to watch. Teammates can share a side.
How does online play work?
Choose Online on the home screen. One person hosts and gets a six-character join code, and friends enter it to join. On the same Wi-Fi network, games show up without a code. If someone drops out, they can rejoin as the same players.
Can I change the controls?
Yes. Settings ▸ Controls offers Hybrid (a button for each shot and pass) and Total Control (the skill stick), and you can remap buttons and save your own profiles. Touch screens can rearrange their on-screen controls.
The game is too hard (or too easy)
Opponents and AI teammates each have a skill slider from 0 to 99 under Settings, and the puck control, pass and shot assists are sliders too. Turn them up while you learn.
My Mac says it can't check the app for malicious software
For builds downloaded outside the App Store, open System Settings ▸ Privacy & Security, scroll down and click Open Anyway. You only have to do this once.
